Hi,
I am writing because I can't find an answere to this problem anywhere.
In the admin area I get this for the version checked:
Failed to contact the update service. Please try again later.
And at the bottom of the page I am seeing this:
includes/functions/linking.php
CMS Warning line 102: /update.php?vers=9.0.3.0
HTTP/1.1 302 Found
How can I tell which version I have and if it needs updating?

9.0.3.0 is the current version.
9.0.3.4 last time I checked is the current beta / cvs build
I am also getting the same error on unable to check for update error on both of my sites, one running cvs 9.0.3.4 and the stable 9.0.3.0

I've done the fixes ... update still cant contact the site. Wah.

Probably your host has disabled the php function fsockopen(), ask them that you need to use this function just for dragonflycms.org I'm sure that you will get a positive answer from them.
