Microsoft announced to stop updating IE for Windows systems older then XP.
This means you have to leave your old lovely Windows 98SE or 2K and buy Windows XP to get security.

Well, it's pretty simple really: get a better browser. A free one.
I have been using Firefox very happily for months, ever since the latest rash of IE security problems, and I've never looked back. Built-in pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, right-click to block unwanted images, the list of superior features (in addition to being immume to so many of the exploits that plague MSIE) goes on and on.
In fact many of us do still use Win 98 and 2000. As more of us find better browsing alternatives (such those listed at browsehappy.com), we can laugh off M$'s latest attempts to herd us into buying a new OS. As the old saying goes, knowledge is power.
