 6.7: Theme-Based Logos Parent

To display a theme-based logo, you need to edit themes/yourtheme/template/header.html,

Find

PHP: 
<img src="images/{S_LOGO}" style="border:0;" alt="{S_SITENAME}" title="{S_SITENAME}" /></a>
change to
PHP: 
<img src="{THEME_PATH}/images/logo.gif" alt="logo" />

Currently it is set as a background image but you can set it any way you wish by editing the template yourself e.g.
