CPG-BB Definitions

  1. Announcements
    Topics marked as "Announcement" will always appear at the top of the topic listing on every page, regardless of their age. These topics usually contain important information that should be read promptly

  2. Board
    The overall community, comprising forums, users, posts, topics, etc.

  3. BBCode
    A collection of markup tags that function like HTML tags, without posing the security risk that HTML tags carry. These tags usually contain an opening and closing pair, like so: this is bold text

  4. Bumping
    The act of creating a new post in a given topic solely to give it more exposure by moving the topic to the top of the topic listing

  5. Locked Topics
    Locked topics are set by board moderators or administrators. You cannot reply to these topics and any attached poll is automatically ended

  6. Moderators
    Individuals who are responsible for looking after the board from day to day. They have the power to edit or delete posts and lock, unlock, move, delete and split topics in the forums they moderate

  7. Smilies
    Small graphics which depict the emotion and feelings of the user

  8. Sticky Topics
    Topics marked as "Sticky" will always appear at the top of the topic listing on the first page, regardless of their age
