Two sites with the same database? Reply to topic

I have searched the forum, but can't find a solution. Can someone help, or maybe direct me to the right forum post?

I have a site with a database. Now I want to make another site using the same database. This new site will be a small version of the first one, for iPad and other tablets. Is it possible to do this within the same domain, or maybe on another domain?? The most important things are the users and the forum.

I'm looking forward to hear from you! Smile

Sure, it is possible, not conflict at all unless the visitors visit both domains at the same time using the same browser (there will be a conflict with cookies).

You can get a mobile version of your site on a different sub domain or using a custom theme with a detection feature:
on the .htaccess

But you'll need to hack DF to not save that mobile theme on users preferences, so they'll not see the mobile version when log on with the pc browsers

where mobile is your mobile theme. I'm trying to develop a mobile theme for DF...
but I'm still playing with the mobile frameworks.
