XML Sitemap generating... Reply to topic

Not sure if this is best/right category but closest I suppose.

I downloaded the sitemap generator for Dragonfly but it produces an error when installed that I think is likely to do with it being old and incompatable?

Anyway I've used an OS sitemap generator and am getting cascading pages with loads of extra 'amp;' in the addresses, examples:

<url><loc>http://dragonfly.123v.com/index.php?name=Pro_News&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;aid=12</loc></url>

and before Layingback comes charging over the hill it's nothing to do with pronews. The same is repeated in the calendar, blogs, coppermine, etc.:

<url><loc>http://dragonfly.123v.com/index.php?name=coppermine&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;file=thumbnails&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;album=8</loc></url>

Anyone any ideas as to the cause and suggestions for a solution? I've manually edited the sitemap.xml and used my Google webmaster account to submit it however this type of error is well known for decimating the site score and hence search engine placement.

For the moment LEO is switched off as I thought it maybe responsible but error is persistent in raw URL's.

It looks like an issue with the script it self did you tried to contact their support?

What is the output when LEO is on?

Have used that tool for years without issue however I have managed now to create a map using the online tool: www.xml-sitemaps.com/

Have tried the failed one (http://wonderwebware.com/sitemap-generator/) on a new DF site and it sees no pages at all!! So would seem your correct and there is an issue with their script. Thanks.
