Archived ⇒ Is this CMS suitable for a site hosting artist prortfolios?

I am devolopign a site that hosts artist protfolios and profiles. I want users to be edit and customize their portfolios which will display publicly, sort into categories and by artist name.

Are there more in depth user management modules and tools?

We just launched a similar site. Check out www.WyomingWatercolorSociety.org We've modified quite a bit, but we knew no php when we began around two months ago and we just launched the site this week. DF is really easy to use and works awesome as a platform for an artists' site. Let us know if you have specific questions.

It is very simple what you have done, all you did was modify /language/lang_english/lang_main.php (or something like that) and you can change the whole site in a few seconds.
