Check out this page for an example of screenshot thumbnails in category view. The feature has been added to the CVS.

That looks perfect, how can I implement this on my site?

Excellent work as usual Trevor. Nice to see the update come out.

New! I spent some time today building an advanced search feature. Try it out here

Suggestion, instead of [root] how about changing it to [All Categories]?

Nice!!
I did add; define('_DLP_NOSCREENSHOTS','No Screenies');
in the lang file, noticed it when I hovered over it didn't have it defined.

Anyway, Trevor I don't get the screenshot previews in my dl section. Does it only work with new downloads and not upgraded/existing downloads? I haven't tried to create a new one though but for those that have hundreds if not thousands of downloads with screenshots this is not a good thing because it's like the upgrade never took place. The only thing different I see is the PAD feature in admin. Everything else looks and works the same as 3.0.6.

I get the thumbnail on the download page but not the screenshot, this happens with old and new downloads

The CVS has the newest version with the thumbnails in the list section.

IE7 is just like FF Wink

My little suggestion; Multiple screenshot uploads instead of one at a time.

I've split several posts from here because it has gotten way off topic. I'm fixin to lock it. Requests and support posts need to be made seperate from this post.

Thank you Smile

What do you say Trevor?

Call for suggestions!
I am very interested to hear what you guys want in this module. Please drop your suggestions in this thread. Thanks!

Sorry bigern75, but I think the suggestion I mad concerning the integration of a download credit system is 100% related to the downloads pro module and in my opinion it's not off topic at all. Such a feature would enhance the attractivity of the downloads pro module because it motivates the users of a DF site to upload their own files! And that's the reason why I use this module. 😉

I think the thoughts about how users behave while using a website are important. Most users want to download but are not willing to contribute themselves. Why not recompense the users who participate? New download sites could grow very fast because they would be based on a pyramid scheme. The more downloads are available in the module, the more other users are motivated to upload new files. In my opinion it would be a great extension of the downloads pro module!

Maybe I expressed myself vaguely in my last post... 😄

Well, I was going to put all the posts about suggestions back into this thread, but someone else took out about a page worth of posts.

I'll leave it up to Trevor. Wink

Update: advanced search has been committed to the CVS.

It probably has a few bugs that need to be worked out. Please try it out if you can.
