Is this forum the phpbb? It seems to have some signature marks left on it.
The yabb I like because of the wysiwyg editor for templates etc. Just way nice.
I don't mind the flat files/perl and in fact, I actually started to venture into that arena for other scripts to use. I presume I can use a wrapper if neccessary right? But as far as a bridge, for one login, probably not possible then?
I will post my creation in DF once I get rolling. Just doing all the heavy uploading from my high speed connection, then off to the peace and quiet of my dialup for the rest.
But in case your are not a cranky dude here, this is for you 🌹
Like Sarah said, the Forums are based of the phpBB, but since then it doesnt follow the ground rules of phpBB. So, many changes had been put into it to where the Forums itself had been changed to CPGBB. But ofcourse there will be trails of phpBB, because as mentioned already. It is based upon.
BTW! We get cranky once in a while, we just take turns.
Of course you have my permission to use the pic. Actually, sooon, very soon, my gallery, pics, screensaver section will be up and running. All free! I will also be offering free custom banners too, (I hope). Yea, I have mambo at the freehelpings.com site, but I think I will use DF, because of the picture gallery.
I have seen where coppermine and phpbb have been integrated, but I hope DF saves me some steps.
I just picked up a new camera, wooo hooo, so my pics should be even better.
I have way too many sites all needing attention I sure have high hopes for this DF cms. And getting a good rapport with the help forum sure can't hurt, especially if I have probs configuring it.
Yes, I search out the best of the best open source and free software, to help the beginner website maker get a start on the web, as cheap as possible.
OOH I just remembered, What shopping cart integrates the best? zencart?
OS commerce? anyother I should know about? I kindof like zencart, they have a google checkout module.
LOL Hey I just set up two dragonsfly's wow, that was real saweet. I have set up forums blogs etc, but this installer is awesome. (godaddy hosting)
I did get to mess around a bit in the controls, and things look pretty nice. Next step, customization.
As far as shopping cart, well I really have to stick with the open source stuff. Since my site freehelpings.com is billed as a free site and free sourses for the beginner, I kindof have to stick with that stuff. Which means I have to learn it too
I used gimp for the graphics so far, and it is ok. blender? AArgh!
