Archived ⇒ installing French Lang pack - Upload where?

I downloaded French_language-9.1.2.1

In the pack i have at root folders

install

and

language

the problem is that inside the insall folder is a folder called LANGUAGE
its throwing me off

i dont to upload it and mess my site up.
Can somone explain how im supposed to upload these?
Also is this what i need so people can browse my site in FRENCH language?

The install folder is for just that, install.

The root/language folder is where you add language packs.

not directly but i have often made sure to read / follow your replies to other threads here and have been able to develope my DF site to basically its fullest potential thus far

I uploaded the language pack into the correct folder
the French folder is located at root/language/frnech
the install folder is located at root/install

but i think this is wrong because i dont see how anyone can use my site in french and there was nothing to administrate or activate once the upload finished.

What did i miss?

oh wait i see it now. Its a new flag in my block on the right side bottom


however as posted above i have the install folder in the root section

does the install folder need to be here? elsewhere? or at all?

The french language pack files are simply translations of the english versions.
