Thanks a lot for this, will try it out.

Can existing users link their FB accounts?

Yes.

Ok I made the app, did the edits, uploaded the files, activated the module.

It all appears to have gone swimmingly, but as I'm a complete FB numpty, I have no idea how to use it?

The new registration process looks no different to me?

Nor can I see where an existing user would "link" their FB account?

Ok, I got the login to display, just a little typo here

$content .= '<div style="text-align:center;"><a href="facebook.php" rel="nofollow"><img src="modules/Facebook/images/facebook.png" title="Register / Login using Facebook" /></a></div>';

Fixed up the css for a dark site, so it all looks good.

I don't actually have a FB account, so trying to login with my wifes, which has so far been unsuccesful.

If I use her forum name it doesnt accept it, nor does it accept her facebook name, nor her email, so a little confused for existing users.

it looks more like just a new user registration, rather than an existing user logon, though I could easily have it all backwards. Embarassed

Update:

Confirmed, I easily created a new DF account using her FB login.

I still cannot figure out how to login to her existing DF account though.

it also now "auto" logs her into the new account, rather than her old one, so thats the end of my testing I guess. Sad

greenday2k, thanks for all your hard work with this.

I'm seeing so many places offering Facebook login these days, I wonder if there's any chance this might be rolled into the core DF code somewhere down the line?

Great work greenday2k, my first version was very raw...

I'm trying the module, the first thing I noticed is that if you have 2 different prefix for standard tables and users table the module create the users_facebook table with wrong prefix.

On /amm_zeta.php?op=Facebook While executing query "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM falusr_users_facebook" the following error occured: Table 'falesia.falusr_users_facebook' doesn't exist In: D:\Falesia.it\Dropbox\WorkSpaceEclipse\Falesia\modules\Facebook\admin\index.inc on line: 35

but I found on DB the "falcpg_users_facebook"

I will continue the testing Smile

Thanks to point that, thought that the installer would install the the "users_facebook" table using the users prefix, but not.

Here's the updated version.

Another issue...

On first call I got:

On /facebook.php While executing query "INSERT INTO falcpg_facebook_states (state_id, r_state, r_ip, r_time) VALUES ('', 'a26be1bf0f90ee8e8a690470b20822d2', '0xc0a80069', '1342996079')" the following error occured: Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'state_id' at row 1 In: D:\Falesia.it\Dropbox\WorkSpaceEclipse\Falesia\facebook.php on line: 121

Several fixes.... setting default or

facebook.php line 117. $inserts_state['state_id'] = '0';

There is a conversion error on insert birthdate:

On /facebook.php?reg_new=2b9627499293cc7a5cd1872949cf76a9 While executing query "INSERT INTO falcpg_users_facebook (id, cpg_user_id, fb_id, fb_name, fb_email, fb_gender, fb_birthday, fb_location, fb_hometown, fb_bio, fb_relationship, fb_timezone, fb_access_token) VALUES ('0', '13778', '1012150319', 'Federico Fiorani', 'falesia@falesia.it', 'm', '10/04/1942', '', '', '', '', '2', 'AAACZATZAhZBPhQBAL7mRAog2eJh3zzWZAiMXtMKytcqtwg8ltupdOqofsFkbfBWOysZCP2smhPEsL4fdOof6ZC6jqYBwNZB6CxvavZCDihKWJgZDZD')" the following error occured: Incorrect date value: '10/04/1942' for column 'fb_birthday' at row 1 In: D:\Falesia.it\Dropbox\WorkSpaceEclipse\Falesia\facebook.php on line: 604

confused me, 2B created cms_users_facebook just fine here.

What do I need to upgrade/change/fix, as it all appears to be working fine.

Perhaps you have configured the same prefix for users tables and other tables.

I tested all the other features, everything seems to works fine.

I got only an issue on jquery.format:

JQuery.format is not a function
