IDoes anyone know if DF maps or google maps are still available or where I can get it? I went to the Ronin site a week ago. It asked me to register, which I did but didn't get an email approval. I went back today and it doesn't even ask for that- it just shows now mirrors. Any info on that? Thanks

Im also getting the following errors when I try to register:

Member mail: Message could not be sent.

Mailer Error: The following From address failed: noreply @ ronin-tech.com

So that means no registration email to confirm with.

In view of this problem, I've added the zip file here, at least until we hear something from Ronin.

I tried to drop Paul a PM, but it seems that Ronin-tech's email server has keeled over. And seems to have been that way since early Dec ('09) having been up and down for a few days before that.

Hopefully it is just an unnoticed systems fault, which will get noticed and rectified soon.

Hi fellas,

Just got back from a nice long vacation (10 year wedding anniversary pics/vids if your bored). I switched over to google apps for my domain last year and didn't notice that it had broken the CMS's mailing capability. Fixed up the mailer code and settings and now it looks to be working again with google mail for domains.

Sorry about that.

Cheers,

Ronin

One question about DF Maps.

DF Maps Module will be working after the next month in Google Maps API?

Google Maps API V2 will be not working the next month.

By the way, Ronin webasite is not working also: www.ronin-tech.com/

Something wrong?

I would say since his last post seems to be 3 years old, I would say he is not developing any more. Sad

LOL! History repeats itself. We are on vacation in Thailand again and it looks like Mr Murphy showed up and my server went belly up back home. Anyways, I wasn't aware any new development was required. Linky?

Developing is my livelihood so still doing that. Haven't posted because things have beeen ticking over smoothly on my end.

Cheers,

Hi Ronin,

Nice to see you again... 👏

Well, perhaps you know that:

developers.google.com/.../reference

Note: The Google Maps JavaScript API Version 2 has been officially deprecated as of May 19, 2010. The V2 API will continue to work until May 19, 2013. We encourage you to migrate your code to version 3 of the Maps JavaScript API.

This was my question if your version is working now with V3.

Thanks

Happy holidays!!! Coffee

No, it hasn't been touched in years. Doesn't look like a big change after looking at things though. New v3 API key is easily changed via the admin functionality and there's not too much Google stuff in the code to migrate after looking at this and doing some grep'ing.

Cheers,

Ronin, Good to hear from you again. Hope you do manage to find the time to update DFMaps.

I was a big user of your module having built an entire site around it, and was genuinely planning to use it again this spring, so will be happy to help out with beta testing a new install when/if.

End date for V2 not far off now, perhaps Ronin is on holidays again, as his site is down again.
