Tim
Artisteer Prog and serial are Hard drive specific. They also have a phone home which will disable prog if serial and hard drive id do not match.....

I am using 3.0 at the moment and am waiting for 4.0 to get out of beta.

Am going to build an artister to dragonfly convertor later this week...................

Well I finally had some time to write a Plugin for Artisteer 4.++

Design your theme in artisteer. Then with my Plugin. Just export to
Dragonfly. That's all. All files are built when you export.

Copy to theme folder and run..

If you want to make any changes Just open artisteer make your changes
Then export and test again.

I have a few more scripts to write. I want to support Both
The Horizontal menu And the vertical menu.

Cool Making Themes for Dragonfly 9.3 is Now Fun.......

Very Happy This is the slickest thing since sliced bread

Here's a question for ALL

Banner Placement.....

Need any options as to where

hmmm interesting throught apart from the theme banner in the header I MOSTLY IF I NEED TO PLACE BANNER choose or make a block.

but as we do have a banner module maybe the banner module could be resorted so it goes by block so it helps keep the interface clean and clear of clutter so the df admin can choose on or off..as well as the member.

most websites now seem to not have banners in the headers and keep main interface clean.

Question: will the plugin have facebook intergrated ?

I agree..
This is a plugin for a template design program

For now I will put it in the same place that the joomla and drupal
plugins put theirs. You of course can edit the header.html template as usual....

Tim:
Artisteer is a theme style and layout program.
And also a Page Content thing. New Pages, Posts.

Now I have built a plugin to export your Theme from artisteer
But Content (Page posts) is still up to dragonfly.

Exporting all pages and their content that you do in artisteer
Can be done. Probably export Into News Module or a blog module.
But I am not doing that at this time.

I want to build DF Themes with Artisteer. And Leave the Content with Dragonfly. (To start with)

I want anyone that can use Artisteer to be able to use any Artisteer Theme design in The Dragonfly cms.

Their are 3 separate issues
1 - Theme Design
2 - Content
3 - Functionality

Artisteer does 1 and 2

Now as a artisteer plugin developer i can add support code into a template
for all kinds of things. Google Tracking, etc but to do that.
You really need a seperate Theme installer to handle various theme options... maybe that will be next project

But first things first. # 1 Theme Design

The Fast Quick & Easy way Very Happy

Thank you for the offer However >>>>>

Artisteer dev has a set of script Testing Tools built in.

If your JavaScript is not perfect it won't pass the Testing tools and It won't export. No php code here all JavaScript

I am down to just updating the Default templates with the
artisteer css syntax.

No Tables Artisteer uses Div mostly
You can export a Theme
As a strandard (not mobile responsive)
OR
Fully responsive

I am testing and building the basic template layout
To be Fully responsive. Artisteer tech support likes that

I have a lot of templates to do. But see no problems.
The most difficult will be the forums.

Remember the templates are just div structures like used by artisteer They Place the Element where you want them on the page
You do all styling fonts blocks left right, and all the rest in artisteer.
Just like you do for Joomla, Wordpress designs done with artisteer.

BTW The Top (hz) Menu in Artisteer is also responsive.
It's really SLICK Very Happy

Makes doing mobile themes easy as pie. You don't need
anything put into the core. The theme does it all The real key
Is artisteer uses div Not Tables for Layouts. No <td></td> In Layout syntax

I will send you a theme or so just for you to see.

Or better yet why don't you design somepthing in your 4.0 vrs and send me the .artx file.
I will export it with plugin Only takes a few seconds. And send it right
back to you.

I will just for testing (Until I am done with template conversions)
Leave a default style sheet from df in so templates i have Not done still display ok
