Themes using artisteer Reply to topic

@Tim
Artisteer Only just a few days ago went to a Beta release of their 4.xx vrs
Which is the only vrs that allows the use of plugins.

Remember artisteer is famous for making major changes to each vrs.
They are evolving into Html5 and Mobil responsive themes.
However as they move forward into HTML5 any plugin will require updating and
modifications for their changes in artisteer.
Beside the modifications required for Theme exports to the dragonfly system, as they currently don't have any design functions for Forums.

Me and Dizfunkshunal have partnered up on a New site at http://dragonflycoders.com

I have set up a forum just for artisteer as this will be a ongoing
development as artisteer changes and DF moves into vrs10

Server specs (Server OS / Apache / MySQL / PHP / DragonflyCMS):
PHP Version 7.0.6 + MariaDB + Dragonfly 9.4 Modified

Yes I already have upgraded Artisteer 4.1 RC for Windows (4.1.0.59782)

I just need a plugin that will work for the current DF 10 so I can get the job completed as I am currently in show promotion mode so have no time to consistently upgrade ..

Server specs (Server OS / Apache / MySQL / PHP / DragonflyCMS):
MySQL Version 5.0.45 PHP Version 5.2.6 apache is 1.3.41 Dragonfly 9.2.1 Windows 7

@Tim

Well then take a look at all the themes you export from Artisteer
You will see that artisteer exports by default
jquery.js
script.js
script.responsive.js

For all themes. A plugin developer doesn't get any options here.

Now their themes are working with these default js files as exported on

All these CMS's
Joomla
WordPress
Drupal
Blogger
DotNetNuke

Now I have a Good plugin for 9.3 dragonfly. Working well

However the Df-10's JavaScript has a big problem with these files.

Both Artisteer Support. and DF Support agree on:
Either the Artisteer exported js files must be modified Or the DF10 New javiscript files must be modified.

Haven't decided which way to go for the DF10 plugin.

Hi Tom

If you could upload the plugin for 9.3 at least I could test it out and have a play and get something done and get used to the way it works....

I am almost recovered from my hospital surgery now getting there but very slowly...

cheers Tim

dragonflycoders.com/in...s&id=1

you can use DFCoders if you like, that site will be what ever the community makes of it. but no ftp access sorry

Server specs (Server OS / Apache / MySQL / PHP / DragonflyCMS):
Multiple Setups

To Install the Plugin, extract the .zip file and then drag the .artp file onto Artisteer 4 or double click it.
Then you willl see an option in Artisteer to export as a Dragonfly 9.3 Theme.

Some TIPS:

Artisteer generates their css file dynamically based upon YOUR design.
So if you do Not have a Vertical menu in your design, No vmenu css is exported.

If you do not have a Blog page then No blog related css is exported.

You can check what values are generated by Artisteer by reading
a file that is in the Theme Information folder that is generated by
your export. Then you can adjust your Artisteer design with additional
css values and re-export when required.

If you add a Preview click value to any image in Artisteer.
Then artisteer adds the preview click feature to your design. Now all you do
is add the class to any image in dragonfly and it will display when clicked
as a Popup.

DF plugin export options
NOTE: When exporting a Theme a dialogue box appears. Their is a button for
OPTIONS. Select this and look at box on the left. Their are 2 DF icons.
Click each and select your DF options settings here

I have also developed some additional Modules.
They allow you to Import:
All Artisteer generated Content directly into Dragonfly.
So you can built a Complete Artisteer Generated Site with Dragonfly.

Road Map
Currently going to work on DF 10v export plugin.

Have been working on DF-v10 Plugin:
if you update your V10 to > Revision: 0c6ab13bd166

You can checkout this DF-v10 Plugin Very Happy
Download

OR
Check Forum Topic for Link

About this DF-v10 Plugin
You should be using V10 to > Revision: 0c6ab13bd166

You have 3 options for collapsible blocks
1 - None
2 - use block header click
3 - use plus minus image

The Templates generated are DF default templates. NO changes to anything..... at the moment.

As of right now it looks like we can do

A TAL version:

your-theme > html > header.xml

OR

your-theme > templates > header.html

I will do the TAL DF-v10 Plugin Next..

What with all the tornadoes this time of year.
I just don't have time to post the Latest vrs anywhere.

We just had an F5 tornado and several others a few days ago.
It came within 500 feet of our shelter. Shocked

email takes to long for me I will post to a "share" site i am using. And provide you with a link...

Their are currently 3 different plugins under development

1 - DF 9

2 - DF10 using TAL themes/Your_Theme/html/header.html

3 - DF10 themes/Your_Theme/template/header.html

Some things you should Understand:

Artisteer DF9, and DF10 are software programs that each one is constantly updating and changing......

DF9 has a Lot of "Inline" CSS in their Php pages and Templates
Their are "elements" in DF9 css that artisteer does Not have in their Designer.
DF9 layouts are mainly Table based. Some times even table > sub table > sub table
Artisteer is DIV based div > div > div
Artisteer has minimal table css support

Artisteer Prerequisites:

You should know how to:
Install a plugin
1 - Change Layouts
2 - Understand the "Ribbon Bar" and how it functions.
3 - Know where and How to make Padding and Margin settings.
4 - Know where to set "Global" css settings"
5 - how to set style for specific elements
6 - How to insert a Child and Blog page. And adjust their settings.
7 - How to set an Image preview
8 - Know that artisteer does not generate css styles for elements that do not exist in your theme

Check out current CSS bug issues with your vrs of Artisteer

The Artisteer Forums are a good source. Read their threads about issues for
each CMS as they are different.
