i know ive seen the answer before but cant find it so can someone tell me ...
im trying to get rid of the posted by, the timestamp & the score in news articles
im sure you do it in the default theme template but not sure what to remove

remove posted by & the timestamp from the homepage?

Well if you remove it from the home page it will also be removed from news since that is where the articles are drawn from, simply edit the template.

MAKE SURE YOU MAKE BACKUP COPY OF THEME BEFORE EDITING !!

For default template it would be :

/themes/default/template/news/article.html

line 12 remove {S_POSTEDBY} {S_INFORMANT} {S_ON} {S_TIME} {S_READS}

/themes/default/template/news/index.html

line 42 remove:
{newstopic.S_POSTEDBY} {newstopic.S_INFORMANT} {newstopic.S_ON} {newstopic.S_TIME} {newstopic.S_READS}


Should be similar place and lines in your themes template since most themes are based off the default theme. If not at least you know what to look for.

score? you mean how many times its been read? leave the {S_READS} and {newstopic.S_READS}

yes thank you, i want to remove where it says score: 0 and the little printer sign with it.

give me until tomorrow to hunt it down for you. Had a major hardware failure ended up replacing a few things, still got to install several programs.
