Core dump files Reply to topic

Hi guys, this is not a DF issue so i figured i would post it here.

I went to do a full manual backup and noticed 4 odd files in my public_html folder. They are all named core. with a number e.g. core.11989 they are a windows shell file, when i try to open then they are encoded. They are all about 11mb in size.

So i think i have been hacked and someone uploaded files via FTP or some how. Of course i have since changed all passwords.

Can anyone add some input as to what these files are?
They are off the server but i have a backup of them if anyone can use them to find useful info.

Server specs (Server OS / Apache / MySQL / PHP / DragonflyCMS):
Litespeed/Apache2.4.23/MySQL5.5.42/PHP 5.6.25/DF 9.4.0.0

These files are core dumps and occur when Apache/PHP crashes.
They can be used to analyze why the software crashed.

See: httpd.apache.org/dev/d...html#gcore
