This document is designed to clarify the various regulations we have laid out for our Shoutblock. Please read it and become familiar with it, its terms are retroactive and agreed upon by team and group members.
[*]The shoutblock is for socializing with other members in a friendly manner. Tell us what you did today that was fun, give special thanks to somebody that helped you in the forums, or share any other positive remark you may have.
[*]Please keep in mind that we cater to a G rated "audience" so please do not post adult or offensive material.
[*]The shoutblock is emptied on a spontaneous basis.
[*]The shoutblock is not for:
Spam (advertisements or multiple consecutive posts (3+ in a row))
Flaming other users.
[*]We reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to team members and not users. If members note an issue which contravenes something in this document they are welcme to bring it to the attention of either akamu, DJMaze, Trevor, or webdev1. Only do so if an administrator has not taken action within 2 hours. Members who consistently act as "backseat moderators" are subject to a temporary ban.
[*]We operate a two strike policy. Users will be warned a maximum of one time for any and all offences in a 1 month period. If the need arises for a second warning a temporary ban will be put in place for anywhere between 7 to 14 days, depending on the severity of the incident.
[*]Arguing with team members after having received a warning will lead to an immediate temporary ban.
[*]Users who feel they have been unfairly warned or banned are welcome to contact either akamu, DJMaze, Trevor, or webdev1. If they feel you were treated badly they remove a warning. If you feel their decision is also unfair you may contact one of the other three. Their decision is final. Contacting these folks over banning matters should be done so as a very last resort ... they do not want to be bothered unless vital.
[*]Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban will lead to that ban being made permanent. Circumvention includes re-registering under a non-banned username or changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban.
[*]Users who contact team members personally (via any method) and post insulting, indecent or vulgar material are subject to an immediate permanent ban.
[*]Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them. While CPG-Nuke may consider lifting permanent bans from time to time this is a rare occurrence.
