The install fails with no message if an install is attempted using HTTPS instead of HTTP protocol.

The reason is this block of code at line 118 of install.php:

if (strlen($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']) > 0) {
if (!ereg("(http://$_SERVER[HTTP_HOST])", $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'])) {
echo 'You are so cool!';

The ereg assumes http:// (line 119).
Should either add an or statement to allow for https as well, or put a comment in the INSTALL documentation that installing on secure servers is not supported.
